These online groups are intended to bring cultural and professional diversity to cross-refer, support one another and learn from different specialties.

Although discussions will most often be focused on clients, the purpose of the consultation groups are to discover alternative choices and behaviors in therapy practice and to help identify blind spots and vulnerabilities.

Who can Benefit

Licensed mental health clinicians, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, PhD, MD, who want to grow their referral network
Clinicians who want to reduce the likelihood of biases being overlooked in treatment
Those in private practice who want to broaden their usual thinking and perspective to improve level of care with clients

Group Details

Each will be 1 hour long

Guest speakers will attend periodically to educate on various topics

These groups are for those licensed in the mental health field in private practice who are interested in growing their referral network, collaborating with culturally and professionally diverse clinicians and deepening and expanding their clinical skills.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist with over 15 years experience. The majority of my work has been with culturally diverse populations. I was trained in a multicultural program which informs my work as a white therapist and the impact of my whiteness with clients in the BIPOC community.

Since starting private practice years ago, I have been part of various case consult groups only to find the majority of members to be white, as well. I started this group with the intention of including clinicians who culturally reflect the clients we work with and to bridge the gap between clinicians and psychiatrists, as there is a big divide and disconnection in our field. My mission is for the groups to holistically and purposefully provide guidance and support.

With 6-8 people per group you will typically get an average of 50 years combined experience to help deepen your practice, provide feedback on cases and get support on various topics, such as cultural barriers, case conceptualization, treatment planning, countertransference, ethical concerns, etc. The groups also incorporate an educational component with guest speakers to advance clinical practice. Additionally, case consults are eligible for a tax write-off.
